This is another kind of approach regarding European performances, because I decided not to show the matches in a order that regards performances, but in a order that cacthes the chronological entries of all Romanians squads. So, I won’t share useless words, because the stuff below is more relevant.
Still, I want to make a couple of remarks here:
– Rapid did not play the CEC final in 1940, because the Second World War started and so football got out of scene for a while;
– Steaua did not play in 1960, because all Romanian football teams were suspended from any competition by the Communist Party, because of the national teams’ poor results;
– all our teams played a total of 990 matches in Europe. Yes, 990, not 992, because once Rapid faced Steaua in a direct game, a event that was the only in the history of Romania.
